The week after Mother's day we had 2 of Shaun's brothers and their families over for dinner, Sky and Marianne were in town and it was fun to see them and their kids. Its not very often we see Shaun's side of the family, other than Kevin, guess you'd say we don't exactly fit in with the Sessions very well.....

Zoo Day

Taylor's last day of school was Wednesday, and I promised her that we'd do something special to celebrate....So we went to the Zoo with some good friends of ours and made a day of it, we went to the zoo, had a picnic lunch in the shade, and had a lot of fun. We bought a season pass this year, mostly because I'm not sure what to do with the kids this summer. 

Mother Poem

My mother's job is sometimes hard and I have heard her say,

"The hours are long and if I could I'd like to change the pay."

Her profession has variety and I will tell you now,

About the many hats she wears, and why and when and how.

My mommy's a nurse who fixes and patches

All of my hurts, my sores and my scratches.

My mother's a chef who fixes each dinner

Fit for a king- a blue ribbon winner!

My mom's a chauffeur who drives pretty slow

But gets me to places where I need to go.

My mom's a detective, and no one is greater

At getting the truth from me sooner or later.

My mommy's a gardener and works really hard,

Planting and weeding and grooming our yard.

My mother's a maid- at least that's what she said-

'Cause she cleans up the house and makes every bed.

My mother's an angel- a queen in disguise-

Who teaches the gosple with tears in her eyes.

Today take these hats off, and please wear no other.

Pooh Bear

We were clearing out some boxes in the boys room and found

an old Pooh Bear costume, this is our little "Boo" in the Pooh

ears....so cute isn't he! 

Funny but wrong.....

Shaun told me this joke last night and I thought I'd share it

There was an elderly lady that had no family left and she was very lonely.  She had thought about assisted suicide but didn't want to involve anybody.  So she was going to put it in her own hands. She called her doctor and asked where a woman's hear is located.  He told her it is usually under the left breast.  a few hours later an elderly lady was brought to the hospital with a gun shot wound to her left knee.

Darn furniture disease, when your chest is in your drawers.

Mothers Day Gifts

I have a WONDERFUL husband. He spoiled me again this 

Mothers day. I got a lot of flowers and a hanging basket

a long with a new video camera that came in on Friday.

School concert

Taylor had her school concert on Friday. I love watching her grow up and do new things, I can't believe in 2 weeks she'll be done with Kindergarten.  My little girl can't possible old enough for these life experiences...

London Bridge

This is Eli doing a balancing act....this is what he does when he is having a little hissy fit, or when he wants my attention.
